Why Do Men Send Dick Pics?

Here’s what you need to know about male psychology

Do you regularly receive unsolicited dick pics in your DM’s? Have you ever wondered why men act that way? Or perhaps are confused why the onslaught of penises refuses to stop?

Because let’s face it: Nothing is more repulsive than opening your notifications to find a hairy penis staring you in the face.

In front of you lays a pair of testicles, resembling shriveled walnuts as a sign of the coming winter season. The shaft is unimpressive and seems remarkably average. Yet written in the caption is a phrase which shall haunt your mind forever: “Hey baby, imagine this inside you right now. How about we get to know each other?”

You are left speechless. “No thanks,” you say to yourself as you quickly block the sender to prevent such an atrocity from happening again. But no matter how hard you try, the act of sending unsolicited images never seems to stop.

Thankfully, there is a solution. To prevent people from sending dick pics, you first need to understand why it’s happening in the first place.

So in this article, I’ll share some psychological reasons as to why men feel compelled to slide into your DM’s with a picture of their penis. Here we go.

They are afraid of rejection.

Many people are self-conscious about their bodies while having sex with a new partner. After all, the constant questioning of if we’re “good enough” is enough to make anybody nervous.

By sending dick pics before having sex, many men feel like they are getting pre-approval of their penis being adequate to satisfy their partner.

In my opinion, sending explicit images to your partner while in a relationship is absolutely fine if you both consent. However, many issues arise when the dick pic is sent merely to bring affirmation to the male.

Some people enjoy sexual thrill.

Your inner-self feels repulsed when receiving a dick pic as you have no idea what to do or how to handle the situation. Why did they send this disgusting image? The answer lies in human psychology.

Known as exhibitionism, some males expose their genitals to random people to fulfill their sexual desires by shocking & impressing unsuspecting strangers.

So next time you find yourself at the receiving end of a stranger’s dick pic, this is probably a likely reason as to why it was sent.

They act boldly to gain female attention.

Throughout the animal kingdom, males of thousands of species choose to stand out from the crowd to win the attention of the desired female. For example, a female bowerbird will often choose her partner based on the ability of a male to decorate his nest.

The same concept applies to humans while trying to find a sexual partner: males often feel compelled to stand out from everyone else to be more attractive. Unfortunately, this practice can result in unsolicited dick pics.

Remember, there is never an excuse for guys sending unsolicited images. But at least now you have the knowledge of why the act of sending dick pics is prevalent throughout the globe.

I’m going to leave you with a quote from Marcus Aurelius, who so eloquently speaks about the importance of ignoring things which may distress you:

So what are you waiting for? Don’t let the immaturity of a dick pic stop you from living your life.
