Visiting The Only Apple Store In The Country | MattLife 006

Today was an interesting one.

Last night, I ended up drinking at least 2L of Coffee whilst working on a new project. As a direct result, I ended up staying awake until 2am. Whoops.

It’s currently the 26th January. I’m currently thinking about the direction in which I want to take 2019. Of course, I have goals. Who doesn’t? But I have a feeling that this year is going to be incredible.

Let’s get into the schedule of what I got up to today.

Woke up and got out of bed. Wasn’t tired. Wasn’t thirsty. But wow… I was hungry. I grabbed a quick shower, and then ran downstairs for breakfast. I had 3 cups of coffee and 4 slices of toast. I’m looking forward to being back in North America as the portion sizes are massive compared to Asia.

Posted a photo to Instagram and spoke to a few entrepreneurs on Twitter. I also ended up having a few calls with clients early in the morning.

Got a little bit of work done. It was focused mainly on responding to client emails, and outreach to potential people to work with. Once again, the responses I’m getting are great.

Worked for about an hour further. Macbook was down to 12% as I forgot to charge it the night before. I plugged in the cable, but it suddenly overheated and started burning. It smelt of burnt plastic. Not good.

I was kinda expecting this to happen as the copper wire inside the cable was recently exposed. So I googled the best place to purchase a brand new charger. It was a 45 minute walk away so I packed my bag and put on a Podcast. Today, I listened to Gary Vee, and also a few episodes of Tim Ferris.

I was extremely hungry so managed to grab some Poutine. Not sure why they have the Canadian national dish here in Thailand. But there’s no point complaining. I love it!

I arrived at the Apple Store. It’s in the middle of a giant shopping mall with a rooftop terrace view of the Bangkok skyline. It’s absolutely incredible up there, and will definitely go back sometime.

I purchased a new Macbook charger, and proceeded back to where I’m currently staying.

I tried to get some work done. However, it was extremely humid so I decided to relax for a little bit. I put on an episode of Shark Tank, and did some reading relating to productivity. I also optimized my iPad to eliminate the majority of distractions that I regularly face.

Wrote an article for the music blog about the relationship between money & freedom within the entertainment industry.

Went onto the streets of Bangkok to grab a bite to eat. I’m not sure why… but I tend to be eating a lot more than usual lately. I grabbed some pork, rice, and veggies with a bit of salad. It cost me approximately $1.30 USD for the entire meal (including a bottle of water).

Did a few hours more work reaching out to new clients. My aim is to have the business at a valuation of approximately $750k by the end of 2019. If you hadn’t already noticed, I’m a hustler;)

During 2019, I really wanna grow my travel brand across loads of platforms. I don’t want to be solely reliant on Facebook & Instagram. So I spent an hour researching how to get attention here on Medium in order to drive more traffic towards my stories.

Bedtime. Admittedly, it wasn’t the most productive day I’ve ever had. Due to a range of factors, i found myself away from my Macbook for the majority of it. Looks like I’ve got a bit of work to catch up on tomorrow!
