I’d like to start this entry off by saying that I am not an environmentalist, vegan, or any other related demographic. I am just one person giving his perspective.
Growing up in the UK, I always heard on the news that plastic was a massive problem and that the world’s oceans were being polluted. But as the beaches and areas in which I lived were totally clean, I thought nothing of it.
I was completely oblivious to what was going on in the world.
Having now been in SE Asia for a few weeks, I can confidently say that my perception has shifted. What is currently going on is completely unsustainable.
There is plastic littered by the side of every street corner. There is plastic in the rivers, in the lakes, on the beaches, and a variety of other places. I genuinely don’t know how to describe it. As a westerner, it’s actually very overwhelming.
This video explains the situation pretty well…
Woke up and my throat was hurting so much. It’s painful to swallow. I don’t know why. But I’ll ride it out and hopefully the issue will disappear in a few days.
4 slices of toast and 2 coffees to start the day. Watched a few videos regarding things to do in Singapore & Dubai.
Managed to get some work done. Once again, it’s simply working on projects with existing clients. My philosophy is that when somebody spends money with me, I want to give them the best experience possible. And so I’m consistently making sure that I deliver on great results.
Grabbed a bottle of Gatorade from 7-Eleven. I was told it could potentially help refuel my body with electrolytes so I thought why not. I also grabbed a sausage roll as I miss them. Was sooo good.
Did some content planning for Linkedin. I’m also developing a proper strategy for the platform as it’s somewhere I haven’t been focusing on as much as I’d like to.
Had a few client calls which was great. Currently in the process of acquiring a few new clients for social media management. Also worked on some content creation for my personal brand.
Grabbed some chicken and omelettes for dinner. Not exactly Thai food… but it was great.
Wrote a few articles for a travel blog about how to get free/discounted flights. I also spoke with a few people on Linkedin about collaborating on some interesting projects.
More business development and client calls. So many people seem to think that my life is sitting on the beach drinking coconut water. It’s not. I have to run a business whilst traveling the world. I love it though. It’s the lifestyle I bought into.
Got a bit tired as been working intensely throughout the day. Put on an episode of Shark Tank whilst replying to messages on Instagram.
